Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Mātāhae. He whānau rūmaki Māori mātou , ka poipoi i Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga ki a tātou rangatira mō āpōpō. Ka poipoi i ngā tau 0 ki ngā tau 8. Ka whāngai i ngā tamariki hei puawai i ngā rangatahi Māori aumangea, ngākau titikaha anō hoki!

Welcome to Te Mātāhae, a Level 1 total immersion unit for years 0-8. Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga is embedded and nurtured in our daily practice. We bring up our leaders of tomorrow to become resilient and confidence Māori youth.

Ko te reo te mauri o ngā mahi katoa i tō tātou akomanga, ā, mā te whakatara, mā te whakahikohiko i te tauira i roto i ōnā mahi ā-wairua, ā-tinana, ā-whānau, ā-hinengaro anō hoki.

The language is the life force of everything we do in our classroom, by challenging our students and keeping things moving forward in everything they do.

Our language has a life force, as we cherish it and care for it. Here in Te Mātāhae, our tamariki are on a journey where they learn through a Te Ao Māori scope that tie in with the values of our school.
